Or So I Try…

First Part
Today seems to be just one of those days/
Where everything doesn't seem to always go your way/
And you sit back and wish that it was yesterday/
But yesterday can't come cause it just ain't the same/
So that's the type of game we all are forced to play/
Leaving you sitting there with nothing to say/
But that's all right, that's cool, that's okay/
I'll just have to adjust to make things go my way/
Or So I Try…
Chorus
I try so hard, even when I'm down on my luck/
I sit back and wonder, will I ever get back up again/
I try so hard, even when I'm down on my luck/
I sit back and wonder, is life always this tough
Second Part
Well that's just great, now I can go outside/
But I still have to try and swallow all of my pride/
Which keeps on eating up my fragile inside/
Like a monster whose mouth is about six feet wide/
So that should tell you how to live your life/
You shouldn't just sit back and enjoy the ride/
What you should do is take over and drive/
And prove to the public that you have nothing to hide/
Or So I Try…
Chorus
I try so hard, even when I'm down on my luck/
I sit back and wonder, will I ever get back up again/
I try so hard, even when I'm down on my luck/
I sit back and wonder, is life always this tough
Third Part
Hear me out now. I want you to listen./
Go get directions when you need assistance/
Humans always die with unfinished business/
Don't pretend that you never knew this existed/
Well that's cool, as long as you can admit to it/
And you don't become another helpless innocent/
This adds more wrong to the incident/
Like a sinner that's looking to repent/
Or So I Try…
Chorus
I try so hard, even when I'm down on my luck/
I sit back and wonder, will I ever get back up again/
I try so hard, even when I'm down on my luck/
I sit back and wonder, is life always this tough
Chorus
I try so hard, even when I'm down on my luck/
I sit back
