I′ve got my fingers in the earth and an earthworm in my sights
I hope I don't wake up to new bug bites
I act braver than I am and my fears live under rocksBut we turned them over one by one until my only fear was the setting sun
I am overexposed but I don′t want to go home
I want this summer to last forever and to never put on another sweater
Nature is more than just a luxury to me it's a space to build a home
Between the soft grass and cotton candy sunsets
And when night falls I ride my bike faster than I should
And my lights scare the neighbourhood skunks
But where's the fun in life without a little late night funk?
I am overexposed and I don′t want to go home
I want this summer to last forever and to never put on another sweater
I′ve got my head up in the clouds and tomorrow in my sights
And if it rains again, this time I won't mind
