I Feel So Small

Septic

I've swigged a bottle of scotch,
from all the downtown bars.
A chain of trust has gripped,
With each gulp from the glass.

I've been through some moments,
That are yet to be defined.
Obscured by things like love and hate,
Stay much and much behind.

When faces become plastic,
I'm not sure whom to call.
All I did was I tried to be good,
Yet I feel so small.

Life's like a September night,
That holds so many dreams.
The one that you get is yours,
The one you don't, stays unseen.

I realized the truth behind life,
Which doesn't count bedtime stories.
Before you can judge your lives,
Think…or you'll be sorry.

[Yet]

When faces become plastic,
I'm not sure whom to call.
All I did was I tried to be good,
Yet I feel so small.

Lives are taken for playful games,
And virtues can easily fall.
I see myself with a road to go,
Yet I feel so small.
