Not Saying Sorry

Jenna Davis

Tear-stained eyes and a confused heart
Mama always sang love shouldn′t be hard
But I stuck around 'cause I surely thoughtI could die from a broken heart

But as I grew older and opened my eyes
I came to wonder
How you can hurt me without feeling bad
How can you desert me without a sting on your back?
I told mama I can′t hurt a fly without a worry
How can you hurt a girl and not saying sorry?

Looking back, I guess I was numb
Young and blind, tangled up in love
I held onto what I got
Every text, every word leaving me with scars

But as I grew older and open my eyes
I came to wonder
How you can hurt me without feeling bad
How can you desert me without a stinging me on the back?
I told mama I can't hurt a fly without a worry
How can you hurt a girl and not saying sorry?

Apolo-apologizing ain't mean nothing to you
Apolo-apologizing ain′t mean nothing

As I grew older and opened my eyes
I came to wonder
How you can hurt me without without feeling bad
How can you desert me without a sting on your back?
I told mama I can′t hurt a fly without a worry
How can you hurt girl and not saying sorry?
