Goodbye My Dear

Eduard De Ru

He came home from a party so he just party on
He went down to the bedroom try to turn the misses on
But she said hey now listen close to what I have to say
I ain't goanna make love to you I don't even know your name

Last night I was a stranger with a bottle in his hand
I took a zip then another one it was mighty hard to stand
She woke me up next morning and I still had a bottle of beer
She said good morning darling and goodbye my dear

She closed the door behind her as she walked out on me
Her footsteps walking down the hall spoke powerful words to me
My head hurts like a fraud train I can't remember a thing
Then I saw the bottle on the pillow next to her golden ring
