Somewhere Else

Brian E

I just ignored her, but don't ask me why

Cause i've got a feeling I couldn't reply

I just looked straight past her and thought to myself

How much more I'd rather be somewhere else

Welcome to freshmen year at school

She just kept talking while I walked away

I left her surprised and offended that day

I know she was thinking, how could I get by

Without something like her in my life

I'll leave with my 3.1 GPA

Cause I learned all that stuff back in eight grade

I think back to April two thousand and one

When I made my own rules and lived just for fun

So I count my blessings and pack up my bags

And I move my heart to where there's greener grass

I've got to find my way back home

The only place no one feels alone

I'm sorry, i've got to go
