How Fast Them Trucks Will Go:
(Boxcar Willie)
You know, a lot of folk stop at truckstops,
They just naturally think they should.
Well, they figure any place that a truck driver eats,
The food's just gotta be good.
So they go there, amongst all them truckers,
Sittin' an' talkin' about their loads;
Talkin' 'bout women, an' stuff like that,
An' how fast them trucks'll go.
There's a little old place on I-76,
Where a lot of them drivers stop an' get their kicks,
Reckless eye-balling this waitress they got,
Called Flo.
Now there's always a bunch an' they're a-hangin' out,
Just cuttin' up an' talkin' about,
How she wiggles when she walks an' stuff like that,
An' how fast them trucks'll go.
It's a wonder a fella can sit down and eat,
His ham an' eggs or his bread an' meat,
With a good lookin' woman like that around,
On the go.
First thing you know, you start to fidget an' fussin',
Nudgin' one another instead of discussin',
Just how she wiggles when she walks an' stuff like that,
An' how fast them trucks'll go.
Well, old Flo just takes it all in stride,
An' swells all up with her woman pride:
She's tickled all plum pink y'all come in,
Just to see her show.
Yeah, she throws in an little extra little wiggle in her walk,
An' you just sit there an' grin an' gawp,
About home-made lovin' an' stuff like that,
An' how fast them trucks'll go.
Now I can't explain it, how it makes you feel,
But you tip her five bucks on a two dollar bill.
Get yourself an' start headin' out,
Kinda slow.
When you're pushin' that deisel on down the line,
An' you get to thinkin' 'bout the woman you've left behind,
How she wiggles when she walks an' stuff like that,
An' just how fast them trucks'll go.
Ah, them trucks'll go a little faster,
When you get to thinkin' 'bout that woman you've left behind.
Goodbye officer an' Smokey.
Just how fast will them trucks go?
