Early Avenue

Ass Req

I was walking down the street

One day about a week ago

When you came up to me

You said your life was moving slow

I tried to sympathize

You threw it right back in my face

And so I wrote this song

To put you in your fucking place

You think that I could never care about anything

You seem to feel that I have no heart

Well I'm not sorry I don't share your same, exact beliefs

Maybe that's why my life hasn't fallen apart

You tell me that I'm wrong

To you I'd have to say the same

We're all players in this

Argument you call a game

I've got my view and you've got yours

Can't you just be content

I'm not gonna change

Because you listened to your parents

You think that I could never care about anything

You seem to feel that I have no heart

Well I'm not sorry I don't share your same, exact beliefs

Maybe that's why my life hasn't fallen apart

Don't try to pretend that it doesn't bother you

You've been taught to believe that all your thoughts were true

I don't have a problem with your train of thought

But if you try to make me think the same way that you're thinking

I'm not gonna take it, so fuck off

You think that I could never care about anything

You seem to feel that I have no heart

Well I'm not sorry I don't share your same, exact beliefs

Maybe that's why my life hasn't fallen apart
