i'd like a house all made of clay
with purple walls i'd sleep all day
with an orange staircase and throw rugs
with flower vases and coffee mugs
i'd like to share my adobe house with
you and our puppies and fish and mouse
we could lie on our backs and lounge all day
and open the windows all through may
i'd like a kitchen with red and blue walls

we could paint the walls gold or maroon
and i'd like to move there very soon
