White Stones On Green Grass

Eduard De Ru

There are battles going on, soldiers getting weaker but the fighting goes on
There are families back at home; they wait for their loved ones until they come home
They pray to God; please help me go on
We'll always remember what they have done

Chorus:
In those walls with names all over
In their statues with flags held high
And lord you know we cry out their names
And hold on to their memories that will always last
In white stones on green grass

Vers2:
A soldier comes home from a faraway mission they brought him back to where he belongs
They call out his name in a little white chapel they'll give him an honor for all he has done
Then they'll carry him back to a place for his own, covered with grass underneath a white stone

Chorus:
There's a wall with names all over
There are statues with flags held high
And lord you know we cry out their names
And hold on to their memories that will always last
In white stones on green grass

Bridge:
They fight all those wars to maintain our freedom

And their names will be honored they'll always come back

Chorus:
In those walls with names all over
in their statues with flags held high
And lord you know we cry out their names
and hold on to their memories that will always last
in white stones on green grass

Yes we hold on to their memories that will always last in white stones on green grass
