Try It Again

James Benjamin Maples Jr.

I think my life it must be changing
My sun could be looking bright
I feel a cool breeze ripling through my hair
In my eyes I see a clear blue light
I see the faces of another time
Stareing back they seem sublime
I live the future by my past mistakes
Gives me the presence to know my mind
And now I realize I never want to die
Though the reason I don't know what
I feel I know the essense of its worth
And I know I paid a hell of a lot
If its the price you pay for what you get
It makes me wonder if theres a meaning to it
Its like the places I've never been
Are getting me up to try it again

In my eyes I see a vision
Like I've never seen before
Lines of color mark my site
To my place beside the door
As the tide comes in around my feet
I feel the sand wash between my toes
I realize they are like my thoughts
I guess thats just the way it goes
